I don’t have bias, with this training be of benefit to me?
Yes! We all have biases, and that is ok. We want to know where our biases lie so we can ensure they do not affect our work or decision-making. Plus, this training includes exploration of values, practical ways to work in social and human rights models of disability, and incorporating trauma-informed and intersectionality into our practice.
Do I need to prepare for this training?
We ask that you spend about an hour preparing for the training by completing a values questionnaire we will provide as well as the Implicit Association Tests.
Will I be required to share my results the implicit bias test and values questionnaire?
No, you do not have to share your results with us or the training group. However, you will be required to critically reflect on your biases and values in small groups. We will encourage privacy and confidentiality of group attendees throughout the training.
I’m disabled, would this training benefit me?
Yes! Research has shown that even if we are disabled we can have negative implicit biases (likely related to internalised ableism). This training includes explorations of ourselves and our practice that benefit all health professionals.
Do you keep the data from the implicit bias test?
The data collected through the Implicit Association Test is stored securely using the Inquisit platform. As we do not require you to enter any identifying data, this data is stored anonymously. The data may be used for training evaluation purposes as per our Terms and Conditions here.
What health professionals is the training suitable for?
This training is suitable for any health profession including psychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, exercise physiologists, speech pathologists, counsellors, psychotherapists, orthoptists, behaviour support practitioners, nurses, and medical practitioners.
Can this training be completed by other non-health related professionals?
Yes, this training is suitable and beneficial for anybody working within the NDIS including support workers, support coordinators, peer workers, and coaches.
I am currently a student completing my training in an allied health or medical field, can I undertake this training?
Absolutely! This training will be highly beneficial for anybody studying with the goal of working in the health or disability fields.
Does this training contribute to CPD hours?
Yes, this training contributes to 5 hours of CPD. As this training includes practical and reflective practices, it can be considered active CPD for those who require this as part of their registration.
Will the training be recorded?
No, the training will not be recorded.

Will I receive a certificate after completing this training?
Yes, after completing this training you will receive a certificate of completion. This certificate can be used for your CPD records and displayed to show your commitment to working with clients with disabilities.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes, we offer payment plans through PayPal Pay in four interest-free payments. Please note that payment plans are an agreement between you and PayPal and not Beyond Bias Consulting.
